Please mail your inquiries to: L'Hopital@brittany.fsnet.co.ukThe
house is being sold with some furniture available.
Reached
by a quiet country road, the cottage is an attractive semi-detached stone built
property,
There is gas fired central heating. There are two bedrooms ( access to bedroom two through bedroom one ).
The
bedrooms are on the first floor and are reached via a spiral staircase. The
ground floor comprises, kitchen with sink and
breakfast table, and with space for washing machine, fridge, cooker. There is a shower room with wash hand basin and W.C. The living
room is timber beamed and has french doors which lead out to the small garden, where there is a small shed and a gas tank which feeds the
central heating.
The
cottage is situated in L'Hôpital-Camfrout which is a popular small village
within the Armorique Natural Park, at the head of a small estuary leading to
Brest harbour and the open sea.
A full range of typical French shops are to be found in the village, including a hotel / restaurant and a post office. In the village the sports facilities include a putting green and both indoor and outdoor tennis courts.
L'Hôpital-Camfrout
is approximately 12 miles from Brest and about 15 miles from sandy beaches. The
area is ideal for family holidays and provides excellent walking and sailing
country. .Needless to say the local
restaurants provide excellent value for money and the menus cover all expected
seafoods and local cuisine.
A French lady has rented the house for the last eight years, and as she left recently to buy her own home, we decided to put the cottage on the market for sale.
L'Hopital-Camfrout being only 12 miles from Brest is considered very fashionable and has always been a good rental proposition. We rented the cottage out ourselves to English guests for two years and did not have any trouble finding suitable holiday tenants.
The approximate dimensions of the cottage are;-
Bedroom 1 15 foot 9 x 9 foot
Bedroom 2 15 foot 3 x 14 foot 1
Living room 15 foot 7 x 15 foot 2
Kitchen 9 foot 7 x 7 foot 4
Shower room 7 foot 3 x 5 foot 3
The garden is not large, but is manageable. There is a concrete shed for storing tools and barbeque etc.
The house is separated from the garden by a gravel pathway. Our neighbour has a right of way over this path, and I think the right of way may be exercised occasionally.
Cars can be parked by the side and at the back of the house.
We have an English friend locally who holds a key. If you would like to view the cottage or have any other questions please feel free to contact us.
